VMware Inc. is scheduled to introduce a new version of its workstation virtualization product on Wednesday that supports Windows Vista, dual monitors and other features.

The company announced late Tuesday plans to buy U.S. corporate performance management software company OutlookSoft Corp. for an undisclosed sum.

Sun Microsystems Inc. is collaborating with Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson to support development of Java-based server applications that can run on wireless networks. The announcement was made at the JavaOne 2007 conference Tuesday in San Francisco.
