Symantec CEO encouraged by MS moves on Vista
The head of Symantec Corp. said Thursday that he is encouraged by recent statements from Microsoft Corp. that it plans to work with security software companies and provide them with more access to the Windows Vista operating system.

A dealer of used tube and pipe equipment filed a lawsuit this week hoping to strip YouTube Inc. of its domain name.

Google preps mobile app for Gmail
On Thursday, Google plans to launch a new downloadable application for Java-enabled mobile devices that acts as a client for Gmail, letting users read, create, delete, search, send and receive e-mail messages.

A second minor bug found in the Firefox 2.0 Web browser will be fixed, but users shouldn't encounter much of a problem in the mean time, a Mozilla Corp. official said Thursday.

MySpace miscreant of the week: Student impersonates teacher online
You might think that it would be inappropriate and not very smart for a schoolteacher to put comments about his students in a public, online forum like a MySpace page, and you'd be right. But the Connecticut teacher who appeared to do just that had a good excuse: the profile was actually created and updated by a thirteen-year-old student.

Ознакомилась с этим "прекраснейшим" законом, который вступает в силу с 1 января 2011 года, и о..... ну вот других слов даже выбрать не могу. Моему ребёнку на отпечаток. год идти в школу, и во что упрусь я и большое колличество таких же, как я, не имеющий папу-олигарха/депутата, чемодана зелени под кроватью и счёта в банке Европы?!?! В 2 часа русского языка в неделю, 2 часа математики и религоведения. За всё остально - плати! А в случае в случае если нечем - то ребёнок изначально обречён на безтолковость и служение первым лицам страны???иными словами, быть холопом???? как в царские времена? Я верно понимаю суть этой реформы?
